Member Events

Hunters Pointe in association with the Membership Committee is proud to host a variety of Men's, Ladies and Mixed Golf Events, as well as, numerous Social Events throughout the year. Member Volunteers wil be called upon to assist the Membership Committee in the operation and planning of these events.

Men's Events

Men's Opening Field Day - Saturday May 7th
Format: Four  Man Team 1, 2, 3 Net
Cost: $30.00 / Person

Welcome back, gentlemen! Based on the premise that most of your game’s arustier than that decade old wedge you still keep in the bag, this tournament allows each participant to purchase up to two mulligans at check-in, with all the proceeds being awarded as a cash purse to the winning four-man team. 

Men's Niagara Cup Qualifer - Saturday May 14th - Sunday May 15th
Format: Low Gross 2 Round Score
Cost: $20.00 / Person

Try out for the 2011 Niagara Cup Team and represent Hunters Pointe against other local area courses in the premier interclub tour in Niagara.

Men's Member/Member - Saturday June 4th
Format: 666 (Scramble, Both Scores, Alternate Shot)
Cost: $30.00 / Person

In this male member event, teams of two are required to compete in the pressure cooker known as the 666 format. By integrating three different, yet equally challenging styles of play throughout 18 holes, both you and your partner are forced to contribute.

Men's Member/Guest - Saturday July 23rd
Fomat: 9 Hole Scramble & 18 Hole Better Ball
Cost: $250.00 / 2 Man Team

Building off of last year’s success, Hunters Pointe reintroduces what has become one the area’s leading golf events. By combining a unique 18-hole tournament with a 9-hole par three contest, and by offering a seemingly endless rotation of amenities and prizes, every detail surrounding the day has been designed to spoil you and your guest.

Men's Closing Field Day - Saturday October 1st
Format: Four Man Team Quota Points
Cost: $30.00 / Person

What better way to bid adieu to the 2011 golf season then with your favourite foursome? Points are awarded for eagles (8), birdies (4), pars (2) and bogeys (1) in this cumulative and inaugural team competition.


Ladies Events

Ladies Solhiem Qualifier - Sunday, May 1st - Tuesday, May 17th
Format: Low Gross and Low Net
Cost: $20.00 / Person

Try out for the 2011 Solheim Cup Team and represent Hunters Pointe against other local area courses in the premier interclub tour in Niagara.

Ladies Opening Field Day - Saturday, May 14th
Format: Four Lady Killer Scramble
Cost: $30.00 / Person

Ladies, come celebrate the arrival of a new golf season by participating in this unique killer scramble. Pair up with friends and fellow members as you compete for multiple birdies and eagles on every hole. The only question is; how low can you go?

Ladies Member/Member - Saturday, June 11th
Cost: $40.00 / Person

Girls, grab a friend and a glass, because Hunters Pointe is proud to present what has been dubbed the ‘Chardonnay Classic’. By combining the flavours of a traditional golf event with those found in a bottle of wine, what more could you ask for? Wear pink please.

Ladies Member/Guest - Saturday, July 16th
Format: 18 Hole Better Bal
Cost: $200.00 / 2 Lady Team

In true red carpet form, you and a guest will bask in the delights of a glamourized golf and dining experience. Not only will you be swimming in swag just for attending, but you and your partner could take home an extensive array of jaw-dropping prizes. This is truly an A-List event that should not be missed.

Ladies Closing Field Day - Saturday, October 8th
Format: Four Lady Team Pink Lady
Cost: $30.00 / Person

In the 2011 ladies section finale, all are invited to participate in this one of a kind format. One member of each foursome will be designated the ‘Pink Lady’ on every hole, and their score will automatically be added to that of the next best score on the team.  And they say pink is a girl’s best friend.


Mixed Events

Mixed Opening Field Day - Sunday, May 22nd
Format: 4 Person Killer Scramble
Cost: $30.00 / Person

In the first mixed event of the year, teams composed of male and female members come together as a dual-gender force. Through the introduction of modified rules, a true team effort is needed if your foursome wishes to secure the title. To level the playing field, team handicap totals must exceed 50.

Breast Balls Tournament - Sunday, June 26th
Format: Two Person "Breast" Ball
Cost: $20.00 / Person

While the name of this mixed event may raise some eyebrows, its intention is nothing short of sincere. Breast Balls has become a mainstay in the Hunters Pointe event calendar for the past several years. Proceeds are raised annually to help support both breast and prostate cancer research in this charitable golf tournament.

Club Championships - Saturday,July 30 - Monday, August 1st
Format: Low Gross Score / Flights
Cost: $20.00 / Person

The pinnacle of competitive golf at Hunters Pointe is crafted to distinguish the select few who demonstrate the physical and mental prowess necessary to be deemed a Champion. By dividing entrants into their respective flight, the only thing left standing between you, the coveted championship fedora and  golf immortality, are your nerves and rivals. All are welcome to attend the final round BBQ and witness the historic finishing hole.

Tombstone Tournament - Sunday, September 4th
Cost: $10.00 / Person

Recognized as one of the most entertaining formats of the year, the Tombstone style of play allows teams of two a specific  amount of strokes; based on your handicap, to maneuver around the course with. ‘Survive’ the longest and be declared the winner.

Mixed Closing Field Day - Sunday, October 30th
Format: Two Person Mixed Scramble
Cost: $10.00 / Person

Nothing induces the Halloween spirit more than this ghastly, golf tournament. Creepy cocktails combined with a spooky scramble and a costume theme should make for one howling good time. 


Social Events

Spring Swing - Saturday, April 16th

Swing into the 2011 season by joining us for an evening packed full of celebration and member-related information concerning the upcoming golf year. Reminisce as you dance to the sounds of the 60’s as performed by our live house band; ‘The British Invasion’, or test your short game by partaking in our chip-in-the-boat contest. Mingle with other members all while having your first drink on us.

New Years Eve Celebration - Saturday, December 31st
Cost: $99.00 / Person

The countdown is on as you will wave goodbye to the past year and welcome in a new one, and what better way to mark this occasion than with your friends and family at Swing. Spoil your taste buds over a four course feast and glass of champagne, strut your stuff on the dance floor, and ring in 2012 in unparalleled style.
